Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Polyglot website and apps (the "Service"), provided by Polyglot ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. Children may use Polyglot Kids only through an account created and supervised by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for their use of the Service.

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account. Please give us accurate information and let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized use.

• Access to the Service requires a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly in advance.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel.
• If you start a free trial, you will be charged when it ends unless you cancel before then. Free trials are for first-time subscribers only.
• You can cancel anytime. On the web, go to your Profile and tap "Manage" next to your subscription; on iOS, use your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Purchases made through Apple are also subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.
• We may change prices with advance notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

The Service shows short videos created by third parties, along with subtitles, translations, and definitions, for language-learning purposes. Videos belong to their respective owners, and translations and definitions are generated automatically and may contain mistakes.

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email support@trypolyglot.com with the content's location, your contact details, and a description of the work, and we will review it and remove it where appropriate.

You agree not to:

• Copy, download, redistribute, or resell content from the Service.
• Share your account or resell access to it.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service or its security.
• Use the Service for anything unlawful.

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial language learning.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we stop offering the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that you will reach any particular level of language proficiency.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the new Terms.
